In case you’re wondering, the distortion at mid to lower left is caused by a building of yet another faith…the Shambhala Meditation Center is just one hundred feet away, and obviously their furnace was running. I managed to crop out the chimney, but could do nothing re: the mirage-like heat distortion!
I think the shimmer actually adds to the image – makes it sort of surreal
It’s a bit weird, smacked, and I didn’t notice it until I uploaded and cropped the shot! One of those ‘fun’ surprises…and…sometimes faith itself can be a bit surreal, yes?
