The Night Roses

  1. This is quite strange, but I mean that in a good way, I really like it. The lighting is really interesting.
I approach the director of the next play, so for you, I am going to photograph
Arsenic and Old Lace. I go to the first rehearsal on Monday night.

    • Thanks so, Leanne. The light is more ‘metal Halide’ than ‘halogen’, with a color temperature of 5,000 Kelvin (stage lighting is 3,200 Kelvin). The fixture was right below the rose bush, so I decided to shoot it and see what I could do with the drastic light value differences in the image. I feel it came out quite well…took a bit of doing, though!
