At a Lonely Shore

At a Lonely Shore

Raindrops spatter the lens

and the thinning trees

as I watch/

listening to the incoming waves

cold and remorseless

as they push the lake’s bed

to the gravelly sands/

damp

and also cold

after the gentle early Autumn rain.

    • Yes…I write when I am ‘in the mood’ (or mode, Haha!)…as I turned this image to B/W, I looked and wrote the poem, tweaked it here and there, and had a deuce of a time positioning it the way I ‘saw’ it (WordPress is not fond of spacing properly!)! Thanks so much for asking, dear friend!
