  1. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a fig ‘au naturel’. My paternal grandfather used to make fig jam when I was young. Huge chunks of fig and it tasted delicious. I’ve planted a fig tree but it’s only about two feet high!

    • Oh…I sure hope the rabbits don’t like fig leaves! The fresh figs are wonderful…my Greek Mother only gave us dried figs (from Greece, of course), because I don’t remember any grocer carrying fresh. It’s only been about five years since I’ve been finding them in the more upscale grocers here in Chicago…and I fell in love with that taste…YUM!
