This morning, A nice, warm glow, summoned me to my east window which overlooks Lake Michigan, and of course, I took the camera with!
N.B.: The two images above are ‘straight from the camera’…all I did was crop them a bit.
Now is the time of year when the rising and setting sun reflect perfectly in the windows of Evanston’s tallest buildings. It’s just barely touching the CBRE Building, (where the Chase Bank is located…the dark one above), which looked like this at sunset just four evenings ago, on the 15th:
Beautiful photography. I liked the 1st photo a lot…
I may just print that one, and hang in a a dark corner, near my bed, Googsy! I love how the colors were so beautiful…I didn’t have to enhance them at all (in Photoshop)!
😉
One can never see too many sunrises and sunsets, can one, Googsy…and some MUST be printed, to savour the memory, yes?
True…

Nice shots!!! First picture is amazing!!!
If I’m awake before sunrise, I usually take my camera into my studio, just in case, Rexlin…thanks much!
Simply breathtaking! I especially love the last one where the sun makes the building look like it is on fire.
Thanks so, rch! These couple of weeks are the only time the sunset is this intense…I was pleased to catch this one in particular, as it’s been so cloudy lately=no sunset at all!
superb! Funny how most people think sunrises and sunsets ‘belong’ in the country…but you have proved that they also ‘belong’ in the city!
Well…since I’m almost ‘in the lake’ (just a half-block west of the shore), it sure doesn’t feel like ‘the city’, or even Chicago, for that matter. I’ll be posting an image of my street’s end probably on Monday or Tuesday…it’s a different way of life, here along the lake!
Oh wow, you have great views from your window. We don’t have such great views. We do if we go on the roof. I love the images, looks great.
There’s a ‘penthouse’ apartment in my building, which is occupied right now, but the owner eventually wants some images from up there…about 90 feet high. I’ve been up (a few years ago, when it was being rehabbed), out on the terrace, and one can see the lake shore all the way to downtown…it’s gorgeous, and I can’t wait until I’m allowed!
