Unfolding with grace

My neighbor’s white Irises, given a final treatment with Photoshop’s (TM) Rough Pastels filter.

    • Thanks so, Lancer…they are yet another spectacular flower I wait for anxiously every Spring. I painted in oils a 30″ x 30″ for my Mother when she was in hospice (she loved them very much also), and when she passed, I donated it to the hospice. I’m certain it’s brought a few people some serenity in the past 31 years….

These were so much easier to present, and a much cleaner way of achieving the effect!

  1. That was so sweet of you to paint these blooms for your mom and left it to the place that provided her comfort in her final days.

    • She suffered from the terrible effects of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Malou, which left her mind totally capable, but she lost movement of limbs, ability to speak and to swallow. She was only in hospice about 3 and a half weeks before she passed—after a two and a half year struggle.

She loved that Iris–and all flowers! I’m sure she’s been ‘behind’ me at times when I view YOUR wondrous images, too!
