This morning, A nice, warm glow, summoned me to my east window which overlooks Lake Michigan, and of course, I took the camera with!

This was the view to the north, overlooking Farcroft and the City of Evanston high-rise.

N.B.:  The two images above are ‘straight from the camera’…all I did was crop them a bit.

Now is the time of year when the rising and setting sun reflect perfectly in the windows of Evanston’s tallest buildings.  It’s just barely touching the CBRE Building, (where the Chase Bank is located…the dark one above), which looked like this at sunset just four evenings ago, on the 15th:

Believe me, it is a sight to behold, and only lasts for a few minutes! But, I do look forward to these displays, and happy I was here to catch this one, in particular!

At the Orrington Building

Whenever I go to the Chase Bank in the Orrington Building, I stop to take some photos of the flowers in the lobby.  This time, there were orchids.

The security staff knows me pretty well; we usually chat a bit.  I was asked if I had ever seen the view from the 20th floor, and was shown to the proper elevator.  This is what I found gazing from the northeast to the southeast:

Moody…yet so satisfying

While in Evanston yesterday, a stop at the Chase bank gave me a chance to shoot these lovelies in the lobby.  The guard came up and told me ‘no pictures were allowed’.  Yikes!  I simply told him I had been allowed to shoot here before, related a huge chunk of my background quickly, and presented my wrists for arrest (jokingly, of course!).  His parting words?  “Now that I know you, you can photograph here anytime!”
